Some getaways are better shared. If you're trying to get a scattered group of friends, cousins, or old university housemates in one place at the same time, a group getaway at The Apple Farm might be exactly the excuse you need. Set on 55 acres of working farmland and orchard in Snitterfield, just 3 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, we've hosted everything from milestone birthday weekends to hen parties and family reunions — always on an exclusive-use basis, so your group has the space entirely to yourselves.

At a glance

  • Exclusive use only — your group, and no one else, in the space you book

  • Covered spaces — a barn and polytunnel for dining, barbecues and rainy days
  • Food your way — bring your own, hire a BBQ, let us cater a barbecue, or bring in your own caterers
  • Easy to reach — 3 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, on the edge of the Cotswolds

Why Groups Love The Apple Farm

Children having a go on the black-and-white cow-milking cut-out during a group stay at The Apple Farm in Snitterfield, Warwickshire

Every group needs a mascot. Ours is black and white, endlessly patient, and has never once complained about being milked — fun for all ages at The Apple Farm, Snitterfield.

There's a reason our most recent reviews mention “Girls Birthday Glamping Trip” alongside “Great stay — very peaceful.” A good group getaway needs both: space to gather and space to breathe. Our 3-acre camping meadow and neighbouring apple orchard give every group room to spread out, firepits dotted around the site mean there's always somewhere to regroup once the sun goes down, and our barn and polytunnel give groups a covered space to eat, gather or shelter if the Warwickshire weather doesn't cooperate.

We've also been featured on Channel 4's Four in a Bed — so you're in good hands.

Choosing Your Exclusive-Use Option

We only take group bookings on an exclusive-use basis — your group, and no one else, in the space you book. There are three ways to do this:

1. Exclusive use of the camping meadow

All 8 extra-large pitches across our 3-acre field, just for your group. Bring your own tents, each pitch has a complimentary firepit, and flush toilets, showers and a small kitchenette are a short walk away. A brilliant, low-cost way to get a bigger group under canvas together — and if eight pitches aren't enough, we can add extra camping pitches for larger groups. 2. Exclusive use of glamping

All four bell tents in the apple orchard, plus both en-suite shepherd's huts (Apple Pie and Apple Crumble), just for your group. The Windsor Bell Tent is the biggest, with two real double beds plus room for two singles — good for four adults, or two adults and up to four children. Golden Delicious and Spartan are 5m tents with a double bed and space for up to three singles. Cox Bell Tent, tucked in the quietest corner of the orchard with its own compost toilet and outdoor bath, is often the one everyone wants. The shepherd's huts add a wood-burning stove and a private en-suite for anyone in your group who wants a bit more comfort. Explore our bell tents and en-suite shepherd's huts.

3. Exclusive use of the whole site

Every accommodation on the farm — the camping meadow, all four bell tents and both shepherd's huts — brought together under one exclusive booking. Ideal for the biggest celebrations, or when your group wants a genuine mix of comfort levels, from camping under canvas to a wood-burning stove and private en-suite.

Got a really big crowd? We can hire in extra bell tents and add extra camping pitches, so the whole site can welcome a maximum of around 80 guests.

Because every group booking is exclusive-use, we tailor the arrangement to your numbers — get in touch directly with your dates and group size and we'll help you work out which option fits best.

What Kind of Groups Book With Us

Yee-haw. When a group goes all-in on a Wild West theme, the farm makes a pretty convincing frontier town.

  • Milestone birthdays — a weekend with exclusive use of the camping meadow or glamping is a memorable way to mark a 30th, 40th or 50th, with the flexibility to keep things relaxed or dress it up with your own decorations, food and drink.
  • Hen parties — the countryside setting, firepits, orchard privacy and use of the barn or polytunnel make for a hen weekend that's a world away from a city-centre pub crawl.
  • Family reunions and multi-generational trips — exclusive use of glamping mixes bell tents and shepherd's huts, or book the whole site to bring camping pitches into the mix too, so everyone can choose their own comfort level while staying together on one site.
  • Friend getaways — no big occasion needed. Sometimes a firepit, a farm, and a free weekend is reason enough.

Making the Most of Your Group Weekend

Bring your own BBQ, hire one on-site, ask us to cater a barbecue on your behalf, or bring in your own caterers if you'd rather leave the cooking to someone else — then gather everyone round a firepit as the evening cools. If the weather turns, our barn and polytunnel give your group a proper undercover space to eat together, keep the BBQ going, or host your caterers out of the rain, without the weekend grinding to a halt.

Salads, crusty bread and all the trimmings, laid out and ready to go — bring your own spread, hire a BBQ, or let The Apple Farm cater the whole barbecue so your group's only job is to turn up hungry.

Take a group walk through the orchards and open farmland when the sun's out — the kind of simple, together time that's easy to lose in everyday life. If anyone wants to venture further afield, Stratford-upon-Avon is 3 miles away for riverside walks and a wider choice of pubs and restaurants, the Cotswolds are right on the doorstep for a group day trip, and Warwick Castle is an easy drive away.

A few practical notes for group organisers: we ask for a 2-night minimum stay at weekends (3 nights over bank holidays), and because access to the farm is via a shared private road, there's a 10pm access curfew to be considerate of our neighbours. That's for arriving and leaving the farm only, not for guests on site — once everyone's in, the evening round the firepit carries on. Worth flagging to anyone joining you late. Dogs are welcome across the site if kept under control, so four-legged friends don't need to be left behind either. And on music: we don't allow amplified music, but small speakers and acoustic music are very welcome — think a guitar round the firepit rather than a sound system.

Booking Your Group Getaway

Because every group stay is arranged on an exclusive-use basis, we don't take group bookings through our online booking system — these are arranged directly with us. Get in touch with your preferred dates, group size and which exclusive-use option you're after (camping, glamping, or the whole site), and we'll help put together the right stay for your group.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you allow groups to book alongside other guests?

No — all group getaways at The Apple Farm are exclusive-use. Depending on your numbers, that means exclusive use of the camping meadow, glamping, or the whole site, but never shared with unrelated guests.

Can we book a group getaway online?

Not through our standard online booking system — group stays are tailored to your numbers and exclusive-use option, so we arrange these directly. Contact us with your dates and group size and we'll take it from there.

Is there space for group activities like games or a shared BBQ, especially if it rains?

Yes — there's plenty of open space across the orchard and camping meadow for lawn games, and BBQs are available to hire. We can also cater a barbecue on your behalf, or you're welcome to bring in your own caterers. We also have a barn and polytunnel on site that groups can use for shared dining, keeping the BBQ going, or simply somewhere dry to gather if the weather turns.

How many guests can you accommodate?

Our standard accommodation covers 8 camping pitches, four bell tents and two shepherd's huts. For larger groups we can hire in extra bell tents and add extra camping pitches, up to a maximum capacity of around 80 guests on a whole-site booking.

Is there a curfew?

There's a 10pm curfew on access to the farm, because we share a private road with our neighbours. It applies to arriving and leaving only — it isn't a curfew for guests already on site.

Can we play music?

Yes, within reason. We don't allow amplified music, but small speakers and acoustic music are welcome.

Can we bring decorations for a birthday or hen weekend?

Absolutely — just let us know what you're planning so we can help make sure everything runs smoothly for your group.

Bringing a Group Together?

All group getaways are exclusive-use — whether that's just the camping meadow, glamping, or the whole site — and we arrange these directly with you rather than online. Get in touch with your dates and numbers and we'll help put together the right stay.
